Boston backtracks on Secure Communities
BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Boston Mayor Thomas Menino is now reversing course and threatening to withdraw from the Secure Communities program.
That's a big change for Boston, where police Commissioner Ed Davis had been a strong supporter of the program, wich [sic] shares the fingerprints of everyone arrested by local police with federal immigration authorities.
I've covered this story before. Basically, it's a program that started in Boston whereby they would share all fingerprints of criminals captured in Boston with the feds to match against a database of violent criminal immigrants. Boston was in on the program in 2006 and wants out now. That's not the issue. What caught my eye was this absolute beaut from hizzoner:
This was supposed to be on issues like homicides, major crimes, and they were taking this too far. A guy steals a car, they do the fingerprints, send it to Washington, have the person deported. That's not the Boston I want. I want Boston to be a city that welcomes immigrants,” Menino said.Got that? Good ol' Mumbles doesn't want illegal immigrants deported just because they commit felonies! I mean, c'mon, it's only your car. Here's a tip, you marble-mouthed dolt: Stealing someone's car *IS* a "major crime". In most places it's a felony. You know, a crime so severe it causes one to lose one's Constitutionally enumerated rights forever - something you should be familiar with, since your city tries its damnedest to do that to non-felons.
Gah. Stealing a car isnt' a "major crime" according to this clown. How many other crimes is Mumbles downgrading in his quest to make Boston the Shangri-La of the illegal alien community? Is he going to argue, then, that simple assault isn't a major crime? Strongarm robbery? Plain and simple, these people are already criminals by entering the country illegally. ANY crime ought to be enough to get their prints submitted.
Massachusetts: You're more likely to get your car stolen by an illegal alien here.
That is all.

Yeah, because it's a great idea to make sure illegal immigrants who are committing crimes stay in Boston rather than get deported....
Cut his income to less than $50,000 per year, and then see how he feels about deporting people who steal cars.
But if a lawful citizen with a clean record asks for a Mass LTC from the BPD so they can carry to DEFEND themselves from these illegal aliens and out own domestic terrors.
The answer will be a resounding "No", and maybe a "Restricted: Target and Hunting" after 3-4 months of waiting.
Anti-Freedom, Pro-Criminal.
Is there any doubt?
Guess I'm the wrong kind of immigrant for the Mayor -- I would be bringing firearms and a respect for the Constitution with me.
I've been fingerprinted over a (supposedly) illegal right-on-red. And over a <N+10 speed stop.
Of course, I have no specific reason to believe that those prints were sent to Washington, but then, I don't have any reason to believe they _weren't_, either.
I don't see what the problem is with sharing info already gathered with feds. But then, I was born in the US, and (as far as I know, anyway...can't be too sure, these days) I've never committed a felony.
If the ILLEGAL ALIENS (Immigrants my ass!) are not found and deported when they commit crimes, this keeps up the Body Count, so that the DemiCommie Political Machines can continue to get more money to run "Social Service" programs, which they can then staff with their Cronies and Family Members.
