So the mini-vacation is over; the car is all packed up (side note: BabyGirl G. brought five pairs of shoes on a three day vacation - two pairs of sandals, two pairs of flip-flops, and a pair of sneakers she never wore. I weep for the future...) and we're on the road headed home. The kids had a pretty good time - judging from the sheer number of stuffed toys, T-shirts, and sundry - as well as the fact that they slept in this morning (8:30AM!). It's time to head back home and get ready for the week, their second week of summer camp and the third week of summer vacation.
We need to do the grocery shopping, make lunches, TheBoy and I need to tend to the lawn, etc. It's a far cry from walking around the amusement park having fun, that's for sure, but it's all part of the routine. It's good to have structure for the kids (and for mom & dad, too) because it keeps the week on an even keel, a straight flow. But every once in a while it's good to get out of the routine, even if it's only traveling across the state.
And as part of my day, I'm hoping to get to the range to celebrate America's birthday, but with Smith & Wessons and Colts only - sorry Sig, Glock, and com-block mil-surp, you'll have to sit this one out, for today is American-made only.
That is all.

I did mine on Saturday :-) And yes, order is good in children's lives...LOL
I remember those days before we learned to pack light so we'd have room for the souvenirs on the trip home. You'd be amazed at what you could pack into the back of a Pinto.
Hey, those guns are NATURALIZED Americans. It's not like they are celebrating Cinco de Mayo, or something. I mean, what about Marko?
I took 5 pairs of shoes for the Lucky Gunner weekend. Wore them all too.
Yup, that's what I was shooting this weekend. American iron only - Kahr, Smith & Wesson and Colt.
Heck... all three of them are New England guns, for that matter, from two of the original 13 colonies!!
How much sundry was purchased? And did you get a good deal, or pay tourist prices?
