How Hot Was It?

Yeah, I know. My friends in southern climes are gonna pooh-pooh this but it was hot yesterday. How hot?

About 105 degrees according to the thermometer on the Harley...

That is all.

Thermometer. CD player. And you expect us to believe the Harleybago doesn't have A/C?

Hey hey hey ... that thermometer is an important piece of safety equipment! It's in-line with the ignition circuit to prevent the bike from being started if it's a bit too toasty!

At least, that's what I've been told .....

Know what sucks about riding in temps like this? While you're moving it's not too bad, just drink plenty of water, but when you're stuck stopped in traffic... Oh, Deity.

Ya know, that's even hot for Oklahoma. Kind of wrong for anyone north of the Mason Dixon line. Of course, we've been suffering this heat wave for the last 30 days with temps up to 120 according to the car.

LOL- You bitch about it being too cold, now it's too hot... :-) It was 'only' 103 down here today.

My temp gauge was a LOT higher than that yesterday. (I won't mention that mine is measuring water rather than air)

The AC died on us at 6pm yesterday, just as we anchored in NY harbor. Not a single HVAC person was willing to come out at any price. 99 degrees, with 4,000 tons of 126-degree oil baking in the tanks. The AC's been fixed for 8 hours, running all out, and it's only 82 inside now.

Apparently I ride my bike when it is one of two temps; 80 or 110. Those are the only temps my Street Glide's thermometer ever shows.

Whoever thought to put an air temp gauge on a bike was stupid, cause I don't need one to tell me if I need to add layers, or take layers off!

I want a thermometer that connects to the speedometer so it can figure the wind chill.

Not really. With wind chill my attitude is either "it doesn't matter" or "I don't want to know."
