You Can't Make This Stuff Up...

Rock Star Arrested for Holding up Walgreens in Attleboro

Michael Todd, 30, of Anaheim, CA, and the bass player for the band Coheed and Cambria was arrested Sunday for allegedly robbing Walgreens Pharmacy in Attleboro.

At 1 p.m. Sunday, the Attleboro Police Department responded to the Walgreens on Pleasant Street for the report of a robbery.

Apparently being the opening act for Soundgarden, while entitling one to the appellation of "rock star", does not pay sufficiently well to have a doctor call in phony prescriptions. How weird must that concert have been to have seen the bassist get frog-marched out of the building for stealing oxy? Of course, it could have had a different ending - buddy of mine is a pharmacist, and he's always armed specifically because of Oxy and the lengths to which folks will go...

At least this story has a happy ending with the junkie in the pokie...

That is all.

Beter than a pokie in the junkie, I'd say...

Makes my head hurt.

OTOH, as someone pointed out, it's a real stretch to call this moron a "Rock Star".

"Rock Start Wannabe", maybe. If he was a real Rock Star, he wouldn't need to hold up a Wal*Mart, he'd have "people" to do that. And he'd be in rehab, not jail, right now.

Just pointing that out!

Kind of a shame though. Coheed and Cambria did the neat music for the trailers for '9'. I know, small time, but that's how you pay your dues in the music business sometime. I've listened to some of their stuff and liked it.

Oh well. I suppose it beats dying of a overdose.
