Armed Shopper Opens Fire on Walgreens Bandits
An armed shopper took his best shot at nabbing a pair of armed bandits who robbed a Miami Walgreens early Monday.
Police say the two suspects entered the store at 2700 Flagler Street and left without paying for their merchandise around midnight.
There's not enough information given to make a determination whether this is a good shoot or not. From the way it's written, it certainly seems doubtful - but then again, most stories surrounding civilian self-defense usually are slanted a certain way. If this guy walked out of the store and opened fire on someone for hitting his car, I can't support it. On the other hand, they may have hit his car and then tried to run him down when he stepped out in the parking lot to get a better look at their car.
It's one thing if he was in the store and witnessed the armed robbery, then went outside to see them hitting his car. He steps out to get a look at the car that hit his car, and they try to run him down. It's another thing if he didn't even know about the robbery, sees someone hit his car across the parking lot, and starts shooting over a fender bender. The article is slanted towards the latter, but there's just not enough to go on one way or another. Given the recent events where folks are killed in pharmacy robberies, I'm willing to give a good deal of benefit of doubt...
In any case, as PISSED states, maybe we're just fed up with these thugs...
That is all.

It will be interesting to hear the 'rest of the story'...
If this is correct as reported (I know, big IF) then his shooting at them was not justified. Will be interesting to see if he has charges brought against him.
