Driver of Motorized Beer Cooler Charged With Drunk Driving
NOOSA, Australia -- An Australian man caught driving a motorized cooler box through a beachside resort town appeared in court charged with drunk driving, The Courier Mail reported Monday.
Christopher Ian Petrie, 23, faces charges of driving under the influence and driving without a license after police caught him on the makeshift vehicle, which was powered by a 50cc engine.
I don't know what's more surprising, that they have motorized coolers in Oz, or that it's considered OUI to operate one after having a few pints...
Oh, here's the device in question:
50cc worth of beer, oops, Fosters chilling fury!
That is all. |

well did you hear about the guy who was charged with DUI on a camel .....
I want one of those! I live in FL, and some of the beaches are really far from the parking lots... Oh, this looks SO handy.
The police in Falmouth, MA used to pick us off on Friday afternoons coming from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and the Marine Biological Laboratory. BUI, Bicycling Under the Influence, which carried a $50 fine.
Valleyview, Ohio (a smudge on the west side of Columbus) made it a point to ticket people walking home from the one and only tavern after closing time if they failed a sobriety test. (I don't recall the exact charge. Probably disorderly conduct.) Protests that they weren't trying to drive home fell on deaf ears.
Please do not confuse Fosters with the amber miracle that is Beer! What do a couple making love in canoe and Fosters have in common? Both are fornicating close to water.
