Two Days, Two Additions!

The Big Guy and John the Texaner both sent me links to today's DGC:

Newport woman shoots intruder

NEWPORT – A 63-year-old widow shot and killed an intruder who was wearing only boxer shorts when he accosted her in her 16th Street home early Monday, police said.

Lt. Tom Collins, Newport’s acting police chief, said the incident was a tragedy for both the woman, Phyllis Maloney, and for the man who was fatally shot, Jordan R. Risheberger, 21, of Florence.

Let's run down the list, shall we?
  • 63 year old woman
  • Living alone
  • Cancer victim
  • Half-naked assailant
  • 21 years old
  • Under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol
The Brady Bunch would rather see that woman huddled in a closet, whispering to 911 about the man in her house, praying that the cops make it there on time. They would rather see her raped, beaten, even killed at the hands of some drug-addled loser looking for a good time after partying in the 'hood. Think about that. Every time they say they want "sensible gun control", what they mean is that they want people like Ms. Maloney defenseless when some drunk idiot a third her age bulls his way into her house wearing nothing but his tidy whiteys.

I'd rather see him bleeding out on the floor, myself...

Dead Goblin Count: 183

That is all.

The perp should have been shot just for the Creepy Factor.

The man in the shorts was committing an atrocity, not a tragedy.

The man in shorts was one of my good friends, and if anything, the lady took advantage of him. He didnt "break in," he walked into the unlocked back door of this ladys house, just streets away from the house he meant to go to. Shoot the floor first. Theres no reason to take a headshot first thing. Especially when this 21-year-old man doesnt look threatening in the least. He is tall, skinny, and a very peaceful and level-headed kid. He shouldnt have been murdered like this.

Ann: I hope you're kidding.

Ann: Ok, lemme get this straight.

A guy in nothing but his underwear illegally comes into her house, refusing to leave when told, and was constantly walking towards her. She's old and living alone. What makes you think that she should risk possible injury and death in the hopes that he *might* be harmless?

Sure, you knew him, he was apparently a good friend. But the lady in the house has friends and family, too. Is this guy more important than she is, despite the fact that he is the one unlawfully entering the house? If the guy was a complete choir-boy, he wouldn't be walking around outside in his underwear, sneaking into people's houses while under the influence of drugs.

I will be the first to say dont ever come into my house or there will be problems for you...The Media has a way of twisting every story to make it sound as horrible as possible that is how they get ratings...but I will not let my cousin JORDAN RISHEBERGERS name go down this way...he was NOT a THIEF and he was NOT going to RAPE an old lady which many are trying to suggest......and he did not "break" into her house...her door was open which she even admitted...the media left out the part about him going to someone elses house and asking for help and they told him to leave and he did...I am not mad at the lady but I dont believe that she asked questions first and then shot...which is probably why she is not willing to talk to anyone because she feels quilty for shooting first...Jordan had just cashed his paycheck that day and had a pocket full of money...he was with some supposed "Friends" at a party who let him end up on the street without his clothes going door to door looking for them and asking for help...this ended in TRAGEDY...the people who made these horrific comments have it completely wrong...the media has misled people to believe this was something it was not. I am not mad at Phyllis and I am not blaming Phyllis...But I will NOT stand to let the media or anyone drag his name through the mud for media ratings...Jordan was a good kid with a good heart...came from a good family with good morals and values...yes he liked to party as many of us do...but this does not make him a bad person...I would have probably done the same thing as Phyllis...Jordan was the one that was robbed...of his paycheck...his clothes..his dignity...and ultimately his life. I love you Jordan you will be missed greatly by many.
