The owner of the business told investigators he'd been burglarized several times recently and was staying at the business overnight to protect his property.

Maybe I'm just a bloodthirsty sort, but I have no problem whatsoever with a business owner who has suffered repeated break-ins taking measures to keep his business safe. That business is directly tied to the owner's ability to feed his family and support his employees. Someone stealing from the business - especially coming back on successive waves - is directly taking food from the owner's family and the families of everyone that shop employs.

Forgive me if I don't feel sorry for the goblin that meets his end this way...
