This Is That "New Tone"?

Hoffa on Tea Party: 'Take These Son-of-a-Bitches Out'

Cranking up the anti-Tea Party rhetoric, Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa called on workers to "take these son-of-a-bitches out" as he warmed up a crowd Monday in Detroit ahead of President Obama's Labor Day speech.

The rhetoric coming from speakers at the event was already heated before Hoffa took the stage. Hoffa then declared there's a "war on workers" and vowed that organized labor would "remember in November" which lawmakers were opposing the president's agenda.

Given that 10% of the population is unemployed, and only 14% belong to unions, it's hard to imagine that having much of an impact there, Jimmy...

It's nice to see President Øbama standing behind Hoffa's words, though. It's also nice to see, as BigGovernment points out, that Øbama has forgotten what he said not even eight months ago in the wake of the shooting of Representative Giffords:

“But at a time when our discourse has become so sharply polarized – at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do – it’s important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.”

"Take out these sons-of-bitches" is a way that heals? In what way, President Øbama? The implied threat of "take them out" is not a way that wounds? It's interesting to see, though, that the administration is *not* throwing Hoffa under the bus on this one. Either Øbama's too afraid of losing Big Labor (and remember, they're his party's biggest donors), or he's suddenly grown a spine. I suspect the former...

If we were to document "stupid things said by people associated with the Øbama administration, the Biden file itself would take a team of people working around the clock. What's interesting, though, is - yet again - the absolute cricket-chirping from the media. Sarah Palin's comment about "targeting" people was played over and over in the wake of the Giffords shooting - hell, it was the impetus behind Teleprompter Jesus's comment above - yet compare the media coverage of Palin's comments vs. Hoffa's...

And Jimmy? You're gonna need more than your goonion thugs if you want to take on the Tea Party. Bank on that.

That is all.

Given that the "Tea Party" consists of Middle-America grandparents (many of whom served in combat, and know how to kill their own dinner), I think that the current Thugocrat-in-Chief and his Union Goon Army will have a tougher time than they think.

I will give Hoffa props though. He is no longer pretending to be anything other than a Marxist Brown-shirt.

As I said in my blog this morning:

Bring it.

You folks won't like the results.

Given that the "tea party" consists of people who value ALL their Constitutional rights, including the Second Ammendment.....

Given that the "tea party" shares a lot of cross membership with other groups like the Oath Keepers, the Patriot Guard, various prepper/survivalist/militia groups, AND a LOT of union rank and file........

I think that the current Thugocrat-in-Chief and his Union Goon Army will have a MUCH tougher time than they think.

Just sayin'

The reason he can't remember what he said earlier is because they are not his words.
He doesen't have any.
If it ain't on the TP he is mute.

... wait, his name is actually Jimmy Hoffa, and he's a teamsters union leader? I'm having a weird sense of deja vu.

Mikael, I had the same feeling. I thought Jimmy Hoffa was supporting a bridge or flyover somewhere.
Hey, maybe that's why stimulus money didn't get spent on repairing highways and bridges, it would have been disrespectful.

He fails to realize a few things. A dog will only suffer a tic just so big before it will gnaw it off. Also, there are a core of Americans that remember how to fight. How our fathers and grandfathers fought WWII. You go, you stay, you fight until the enemy is completely and utterly defeated to the point of unconditional surrender. You don't make war against such a people...
