Another Story With A Happy Ending...

Brad_in_MA sends in another addition to the DGC, and this one warms the cockles of my black little heart:

Gallatin man sought in kidnapping found dead in Mississippi

Police in Aberdeen, Miss., say a Gallatin man wanted in connection with the kidnapping and sexual assault of a Mt. Juliet woman sat for hours at a Monroe County gas station before he was found dead Friday.

Maj. Quinell Shumpert of the Aberdeen Police Department said the gas station, Crossroads Shell in Hamilton, Miss., was about 6 miles from the hotel where Stephen Lynn Cronk, 58, allegedly forced the 18-year-old to perform sex acts on him.

Horrible. Simply horrible. The kind of hell he put that poor girl through makes me hope he suffered. Oh, wait, he did:
According to Aberdeen police, the pair arrived there around 10 p.m. Wednesday and checked in to a local hotel. He forced the woman to perform sex acts and when he became distracted she grabbed a .32-caliber semi-automatic handgun and shot him in the abdomen. She then locked herself in the bathroom.
Yep. Gut-shot. Pretty damn painful way to die from what I've heard. Couldn't happen to a more deserving fellow. It's even better that she used his gun to do it (found in other reports like this one). There's some speculation about why an 18 year old female would be meeting a 57 year old man at a gas station, but unless and until there's some proof of ill-intent, too bad.

And in any case, he got what he deserved.

Dead Goblin Count: 202

That is all.

"But if you have a gun to defend yourself, the bad-guy can take it away and use it against you!" Hah. Mwahahaa.

I believe they used to work together and had a cordial work relationship. He told her he was leaving town and wanted to say good-bye, or so the story goes.

Matt L.,

Exactly! I think we can lay to rest another sad, tired trope from the anti-freedom folks.

Christina,

Thanks for the update! That's a heck of a lot better than what the rumors were in the comments to one story I read...

Comrade M.,

Thanks! I'll get that one up tomorrow.
