And Another One!

DaddyBear sends in this DGC addition, from the left coast of all places:

Homeowner shoots burglar attempting to strip copper piping from his rental, police say

ANTIOCH -- An Antioch homeowner shot and killed a burglar Saturday afternoon after interrupting the man's attempts to steal copper wiring and piping from his rental home, police said.

The unusual circumstances occurred Saturday around 2:47 p.m, when police were called to the 200 block of West 17th Street to investigate a homicide. Upon arriving, officers were greeted by the homeowner who said he fired at the man to protect himself after interrupting the attempted burglary, Antioch police Sgt. Steve Bias said. He was not arrested.

There's not a whole lot more to go on besides the snippet above, but the fact that the man wasn't charged - in California of all places - indicates that this is most likely a good shoot. The fact that the guy was stealing copper pipe and wire from a house in the middle of the afternoon probably factored into the equation - someone that brazen is probably dumb enough to go after someone interrupting them.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes...

Dead Goblin Count: 209

That is all.

In California??? Antioch is not known for it's liberal leanings but I'd be careful of claiming this is over. The DA's sometimes take a little time before issuing arrest warrants.

A lot depends on the "Outcry" of goblins family or race baiting SOB's. The DA's in CA are a bunch of wimpy bastards. IF there's even a hint of public outrage look for the shooter to be charged with something.

In America the guy would get a medal, in CA he's murderer who took advantage of a poor unfortunate minority who was looking to feed his family...

IF the dead thief was WHITE.... Never mind. Good shoot. Carry on.

There is an update to the article. The chiorboy was armed with a knife and apparently this was not his first rodeo.

Antioch has really gone down hill. When I did my last couple years of high school there, it was an OK little city with one or two questionable areas. Last time I was there, I couldn't find a good neighborhood anywhere in the older parts of the city.
