Blogson Merlin knows what I like...
Just because it's so awesome, I'll re-post the video from Merlin's post:

That is all.

It's not going in the tree stand without some trimming.
Why didn't he use the Mossberg Chinsaw?
My ex brother-in-law used to hunt Christmas trees with a rifle. He'd shoot the top 6 or 7 feet out of a tall white pine. There were lots in our area because that's all that would grow in the reclaimed strip mines.
In hindsight it seems shooting into the air like that was pretty stupid, but that ties in with the reason he became my ex brother-in-law.
When I was younger, I used a large pine tree (60+ ft tall) in my backyard (with a good backstop further behind it) to tack targets on. Shot it so many times with my Dad's 30-06 that it eventually broke in two and fell over.
Myth Busters used an M-134 minigun to chop down a 1 foot diameter tree in less than 60 seconds. It was an impressive display.

I'm reminded of the Willie & Joe cartoon where the tree in front of their foxhole falls over (because of so much fire from their .30 cal machine gun) and Joe yells "Timberrrrr!".
Shotguns. Is there anything they can't do?
