Barney's Bitchin' New Wheels...
It's a Ford F550 heavy duty chassis with armored body - complete with turret, mind you - because you just never know when you might take incoming mortar fire out in the field... Everything right down to the wheels is tactical and bulletproof - and we weren't allowed to photograph the interior. No word on whether Mayor Bloomberg is going to outfit these with anti-aircraft guns...
Note to the LEO community: When we say we fear the militarization of our police force, THIS is EXACTLY what we mean.
That is all.

I want one.
After looking at that thing, .50 Browning Ammo doesn't seem that expensive all of a sudden.
Nor a GOOD scope on a Barret or a McMillan or a Serbu....
Imagine Officer Harliss in that thing.
No comment :-)
Oh look, it has a mount for a battering ram, er, snow plow blade. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Wonder how big a charge it'd take to turn that doggie over on its back.
As an added bonus the .fed will give your local Fife-force one.
I must have missed the DHS memo on the Tea Party planting IEDs

You fear this? Dude. It's a Ford. It they make the guns aboard, it will be about as effective at stopping crime as a block of cheese.
A good IED would blow that thing to Hell.
To think, I saw that Barrett ten years ago was 8 grand. Cash.
Shoulda cleaned out the 401 and bought it, along with all the dollar ammo back then...
Can you still get the Maadi Griffin plans someplace?
SCI-FI wins the internets...
I want one. And i shall name it war pig. And i will love it for ever and ever and ever
Paint it pink and sell it to SanFranPD's Tactical Woman's Assault Team and ...
Nope, better stop there.
Yeahbut, how's the mileage?
WV townses I gotta fill 'er up twice between townses. I crack me up.
BTW it looks like I hafta do the word verification thing twice even if I'm already signed in to google...
IED fodder.
I want one for commuting on 95.
That's not IED fodder. It's Ford's entry in the DoD's "replace the Humvee for tactical use" competitition (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle). It is military grade, not merely "tactic-cool".

OK, make that military grade IED fodder.
