Hialeah cop oldest active officer in the country
As soon as he felt a gun barrel poke his ribs, the cop broke out his fists of fury to crack ribs, knock out teeth and fracture a thug’s skull. He was 83 years old and he beat the ever-lovin' snot out of a guy a third his age who already had the drop on him. Yeah, they clank when he walks. REAL loud, too... Take a look at the guy - he looks like he doesn't take crap from anyone. I'll bet Chuck Norris calls him "Sir". I just can't stop chuckling at the 6'2", 250 pound thug put in the hospital by an octogenarian...
Not bad for an officer well into his 80’s.
“I love to fight guys who are bigger than I am,” said Hialeah Police Lt. Leo Thalassites, 85, as he recalled fending off a robber outside a Greek restaurant in Coral Gables in 2010.
Salutations, Officer Thalassites!
That is all.

Must have Spartan blood in him.
*grins*
If you're dumb enough to actually touch somebody with your gun barrel, you get what you deserve.
But to be schooled by Officer Leo, man, that'd be an honor.

Yeah, but I think I'll just ask him politely for some pointers, rather than sticking a gun in his ribs.
holy crap. that article makes me think he would have chuck norris crying uncle in about 30 seconds.
"Though Thalassites carries a Colt .45 that was issued to him in the Korean War"
"He served in World War II and Korea, and served in all five branches of the military — Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. Thalassites said he was fulfilling a personal mission."
We need to preserve this man in the Smithsonian.
As long as you add "so we can clone him for further generations", I'm good with that...
".. Thalassites carries a Colt .45 that was issued to him in the Korean War"
The Army was probably too scared to ask for it back.
A studly dude.
