Chimaera
I've been carrying it for the better part of two months now, in everything from blue jeans to dress pants to tactical khakis and everything in between (yes, even sweatpants). It still works as good as it did when I shot the videos, and even looks pretty much the same:
Holding up well
It's a testament to the quality leather than Dennis uses in each of his holsters that the "breaking in" I thought would help shape the Chimaera to a pocket hasn't really happened. Despite carrying it even in tight jeans (tighter still after the holidays...), the leather is still in the same great shape as the day I unboxed it. Well, with one miniscule exception:
Wear? Where?
There is the tiniest amount of wear right at the muzzle, and judging from the lint built up in the barrel of the Bodyguard 380, I'd say it's pretty darn amazing that's all there is. Pocket holsters take one heck of a beating, getting pulled out of tight pockets over and over and over. This one in particular has been drawn, re-holstered, and re-drawn many hundreds of times between practicing and carrying, and to show that little wear over that time is pretty darn impressive to me. At this rate, it might start to wear out sometime around 2070...
I really like the Chimaera line, as it's a holster from Dragon Leatherworks that I can actually use without feeling bad about having to hide. Dennis has sent me some really nice holsters for review, with gorgeous custom touches and impressive construction that are just begging to be showed off as the functional works of art that they are. Living in the Volksrepublik, though, severely limits what I can display (a puzzled look is all that's on the Approved Visual Roster). The Chimaera is meant to be something tucked away, so I can use it precisely as it is intended and not feel bad about covering it up.
Two continued thumbs up for the Dragon Leatherworks Chimaera!
That is all.

Sweet! I ordered one shortly after your first review, and I got an email from Dragon last week that it should be in the mail by now. This should be a happy week!
Got my 'bar-b-que' holster from Dennis last week....purty!
