Election Snag: Ballots Won’t Fit Into Vote-Counting Machines
CHICAGO (CBS) — An Election Day snag across Illinois is creating problems at the polls, where judges have found that ballots won’t fit into counting machines.Ballot counting to be done by hand? In CHICAGO? There's no possible way that this could end badly! There has never been *any* incidents of ballot improprieties in Chicago, have there? I mean, I'm certain that the ballots just happened to be the wrong size to fit in the machine. There's no possible way that there could be any other explanation, right? Ignore the Daley behind the curtain.
The issue centers on the fact that some of the ballots are too big, CBS 2 investigator Pam Zekman reports. The Illinois Review is reporting that the bad ballots have been delivered to 65 counties across Illinois.
Much like the media calling Florida for Gore before polls were even closed, I count nothing out going into November. Improper ballots? That's just a start, a mere appetizer to the shenanigans and antics that await us come Election Day. Today it's improper ballots, tomorrow it could be hacked touchscreen ballot boxes, before you know it, we'll be counting hanging chads all over again...
So, who wants to place bets on what the "October Surprise" will be?
That is all.

How about Obama/Clinton/Carter Appointed Federal Judges backing up various Democratic Secretary of States Rulings that the Election goes to Barry, in spite of Ballot Box Stuffing? Can you say "Sen. Al Franken," Boys and Girls?
Or, you can have a case similar to what the Ohio Secretary of State did back in '06. Remember when she said that 250,000 ACORN collected Voter Registrations were Valid, and it was Perfectly Legal for Mickey Mouse to Vote?
Actually, I'm very worried about what the "Reaction" will be on the Day After in many Cities if, by some Miracle, the Republicans win the White House. "Rodney King Riots" ring a Bell (he says, looking to the West at Cleveland, just 25 miles down the Road)?
Got Kevlar?
Ballots for the dead and for illegal aliens, as well as ACORN registered ballots are actually slightly smaller...
Hell, even if we required voters to dip their finger in indelible ink as in Iraq there'd be a lot of nine fingered voters in Chicago.

Interesting... I live in Boone County, IL and when I voted, my ballot fit perfectly in the machine. Odd though, I picked a Republican ballot and Rick Perry was still listed for Republican, but I understand that they were probably printed prior to his dropping out.
More intereting is that if you picked Democrat (wife mistakenly asked for Dem ballot)you had only 2 choices. I live in a VERY republican county, and if you picked independant, you had one choice.
I really do think the man will do anything to get reelected. (I was flabbergasted in 2008 at the accusation that he was accepting campaign donations online with all safety protocols disabled. So I tried it -- I made a donation of a couple of dollars, with the right credit card number but an obviously fictitious name and address. It went through with no problem.)
The economy's in pretty bad shape, though, which is usually bad news for the incumbent. If things get really desperate for him, maybe he'll announce in October that he's actually gay... on the theory that America can't resist electing its first black gay president.
(You want an October surprise? How about his school records, or an accounting of ALL his Social Security numbers? Now that would be a surprise.)
