They need a couple of .50s instead of those ARs.

Justice on the high seas!

I've been playing too many video games though. When the camera operator looked over the rail at the lower deck I expected him to jump down.

I had a boat full of drunks bounce off my ship's hull at the same spot at the same speed in Savannah about 10 years ago. It made that same satisfying thunk. The only thing that sounded sweeter was the captain dropping a 40-lb shackle through their deck from 100-feet up by way of a parting gift.

Oh the inhumanity!!!! Those poor Somalies are just trying to make a living and the big bad overpayed captain is dening them their livelihood.....oh Who am I trying to kid.....good on ya Capt'....maybe those somalies will go back to herding goats like they are suppose to.

The wooden pallets against the rail do what exactly?

A couple of shooters on the freighter certainly changes the odds. I wonder what the next escalation from the pirates will be.

What is this "warning shots" he speaks of?

Dave H said...

I imagine the pallets were to conceal the presence of the ship's extra crew. A ghillie suit kind of stands out against painted metal.

Apparently under their rules of engagement, "warning shot" means "blow the first one out of the water and see if the second one stops."

@Dave H. I wondered about that. Maybe the crew of the second skiff could not hear the gunfire over the sound of their outboard motor?

Otherwise, you would think that they would have turned away before coming into the ship guards' range.

I think the warning shots were at the second boat and said if you get any closer we'll light you up just like we did your pals.

It needs an overlay graphic, emulating the scoring panel of a classic pinball machine.

Complete with flahing "BONUS ROUND" widgets for varioius hits on pirates, engines and fuel tanks.

And yeah, +1 on the heavier calibers. AR-10 would be nearly ideal for combining greater impact with max maneuverability.

Oh, and tracers. NEEDS TRACERS!

I like!

Wonder how hard it would be for the shipping company to lay hands on a Mk 19? cheap compared to the headache of getting hijacked.

MUCH fun to shoot too :D

@Alan. A couple of M2s or couple of M134 Miniguns

@OldNFO. I like it! Sign me up.

Remember a couple of years ago the experts told us that this wouldn't work and would only escalate tensions?
