Da Governator
Yes, that is a Smith & Wesson Governor, which is in the process of becoming MA-compliant. Why? I don't know, I really don't know. Apparently the shop can't keep up with the orders, and has sold a lot of Governors since the news broke that they would be MA-compliant. Apparently MA gunnies are upset that they've missed out on the Judge craze...
One of my goals at the NRA Convention this year is to find some of the odder guns - the Governor, the Heinze DoubleTap, etc. I mean, anyone can report on the latest offering from Springfield or Glock, right? I want to find the truly odd. Well, besides looking at my header, I mean...
Commencing NRA Convention coverage in 3... 2... 1...
That is all.

The existence of this gun saddens me.
The ONLY draw of the Governor is that unlike the Judge, it can fire .45ACP. And it has a tritium front. But with several other S&W .45ACP revolver models to choose from, I don't think the ability to shoot .45Colt or .410 shot adds anything to the gun except an extra long cylinder. Ugh.
I want a Korth! Do they make a scandium Governor?
The governor is scandium. it is least expensive of the scandium smiths it seems. I really don't have a problem with this. Its just a woods or lawn gun of modest weight. It would work well enough for snakes and would work good on the bed side loaded with some gold dots. I'd love to see one in just .45 colt/45 acp. For the price it would be a great SD gun.
