More on the Ruger 10/22 Take Down Model

Awelowynt was kind enough to be my camera monkey for a quick video of the Ruger 10/22:

I really like the concept - having a reliable, durable .22LR semi-automatic rifle that works well, shoots true, and can be stored in a small area is just all kinds of a great idea. Not only that, but the execution seems like it would be a real winner. Obviously the true test is in how it shoots and holds POA - but since it's a Ruger, I'm guessing that it'll be just fine...

Yeah, I'll be begging for putting in a bid for one of these for T&E...

That is all.

No wonder Ruger is not taking new orders -- they make a great range of desirable products, and they sell like hotcakes.

I like the whole package - case and all. Very well done Ruger!

After the recall, anyway.

Sure would be nice to play with that Ruger up in NH this summer. Not applying any pressure, no, not a bit..... ; )

I'd been looking at the Survival Rifle from Henry, and this has firmly replaced it as my choice for a small, compact .22 rifle.

I'd been thinking of an AR-7 last year but decided to go with the Marlin Papoose instead.

Got a chance to fire the 10/22 takedown last weekend, and it seems to be a VERY nice design = takes down faster than the Papoose OR the AR-7. And in every other respect, it's a 10/22.

I can see one showing up under the menorah this Chanuka.
