Man frees self, shoots home invader
DORAVILLA, Ga. — A home-invasion suspect is dead after being shot by one of the victims, Doraville police say. Officer Gene Calloway of the Doraville Police Department said four home invaders broke into a home on Doral Circle around 5 a.m. by breaking a window.Maybe the four invaders were just going to grab stuff and leave. Or maybe they were going to have their way with the woman then kill everybody so as not to leave witnesses. You see, that's the thing. You have no idea what the intentions are of the folks breaking into your home. The presence of zip ties is frightening, though - once the homeowners are immobilized, they are completely at the mercy of the thugs breaking into their house. That's why you fight as though your life depended on it - because it just might.
They calmly announced that they were robbing the occupants, three men and one woman in their 20s, and tied them up with zip ties, police said. One of the victims was able to get free and shot one of the home invaders, police told Channel 2’s Amanda Cook.
