Failed to Perform As Advertised...

Robin Gibb of Bee Gees fame dies at age 62
Robin Gibb, one-third of the Bee Gees, died Sunday after a long battle with cancer, his spokesperson has confirmed via a statement. Gibb was 62 years old.
"The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery," reads the statement. "The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time."
One thing I learned in the wake of Gibb's death? Bee Gees is nothing more than the shorthand of "Brothers Gibb". Robin follows his brothers Maurice and Andy into the great beyond, leaving only the eldest Gibb brother Barry extant. The disco era is brought to a surprising halt with the passing of legends like Gibb and, earlier this month, Donna Summer.

Oh, like no one else thought of the obvious play on "Stayin' Alive"...

That is all.

I can't say that I did. I did know what "Bee Gees" meant, though. Unlike the Sixties, those who remember the Seventies did participate.

Although I did appreciate the Bee Gees, I think I'll miss Donna Summer more.

Alas, "Bee Gees" is not from "Brothers Gibb" rather from two fellows : Bill Goode, a promoter, and Bill Gates.
Not THAT Bill Gates, of course, but a DJ who got them on the radio.
