Attempted Robber Dies From Gunshot Wound
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A man who was shot after beating a business owner with a barbell during an attempted robbery Wednesday has died.
Dallas Police Department spokesman Kevin Janse says Willie James Moss, 53, wandered into the A & L Furniture store at 4311 Ross Ave. and struck the owner with a two pound barbell. The owner hurriedly reached into his fanny pack, Janse said, and pulled out a gun. How's that old expression go? Never bring a barbell to a gunfight, something like that... A career criminal finally stops his life of crime - because he assumed room temperature. It certainly sounds like he gave the store owner every reason to fear for his life, though - he walks into the place and starts hitting the owner with a heavy metal object, to the extent that the store owner was hospitalized as well.
In the eyes of the anti-gun folks, the store owner should have taken his beating like a man and hoped that the violent career criminal didn't kill him. In their eyes, that criminal shot dead is a worse turn of events than the store owner's head caved in. Think about how messed up those priorities are. They would rather a criminal beat a man to death for the money in the cash register than the store owner defend himself with a gun.
If we judge which side is right based on what they advocate, well, count me squarely on the side that prefers dead goblins.
Dead Goblin Count: 290
That is all.

Talk about an awkwardly-worded statement! "A man who was shot after beating a business owner with a barbell during an attempted robbery Wednesday has died." makes it sound like he permanently earned the right to remain silent because beat the guy with the barbell.
Well, technically that's true, but it's not the proximal cause, ya know?
Antis believe that law abiding people are more likely to murder someone than to use a gun in self defense. While it's true that there are more murders with guns than self defense killings, they ignore two things. 1) The many defensive gun uses that don't result in a killing.
2) Most murders are committed by people with a criminal record. So the truth is that a law abiding person is more likely to use a gun to defend himself than to snap and murder someone.
That is a strange one... No question!
The only way to beat HFT is to trade on a higher time frame. Computers cannot be beat otherwise - even if you become a rebate trader. I'm posting an article about this on this forum: http://www.PlannedTrades.com/forum
