Some Days, I Root for the Comet...

Stretch sent this one in and I've been just shaking my head ever since I had the misfortune of reading it. Since misery loves company, I'll share this sordid tale of family "values":

Mom accused of pimping 2 girls
The 35-year-old woman was arrested April 26, after she agreed to sell the sexual services of her oldest daughter for $150 to $200. The buyer: an undercover investigator with the Nebraska State Patrol.

The patrol was alerted by an informant who said he had met a woman on the website Craigslist. The man told investigators that the woman sent him sexually graphic cellphone pictures of obviously underage girls.
The daughters, mind you, were 14 and 7. There is a special place in Hell for this woman, extra hot and burny. Parents are supposed to protect their children. What this woman did was naked, utter betrayal, and there's not a punishment I can dream up that's worse than the eternal torment her soul will endure when she leaves this mortal plane. I pray for those poor girls, that they all be struck with selective amnesia and forget that this monster ever called herself their mother.

The "men" that sought out the services of these poor children? Well, I'd like nothing better to have a few moments alone with them. Well, alone meaning me and Mr. Stihl. I'd like nothing better than the opportunity to show them the error of their ways, and have them learn the true meaning behind Matthew 5:30. Barring that, the same shallow grave as the guy that stabbed his ex to death in front of her daughter from yesterday could be dug a little deeper...

People like these make me ashamed to be an earthling.

That is all.

Why bother digging a grave? Buzzards gotta eat, too...

I try not to be cynical, bitter and negative, but some of the things that we share this planet with, wouldn't even make good fertilizer.

Most days lately I tend to see a story that makes me want to scrap our penal system and return to impalement, crucifixion, scaphism and the like.

Maybe we can't think up something worse than hell, but I'll give it the team effort. Perhaps in prison some kindly group of incarcerated moms will try too.
