Keep Your Paw Off The Trigger Until You're Ready To Shoot...

Bunch of folks sent this one in. I think this story may have some backstory to it...

Police dog accidentally fires gun into Lawrence home
LAWRENCE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A specially trained police dog accidentally fired a gun into a Crescent Street home while searching for the stolen firearm in a nearby snowbank.
The stolen firearm was reportedly buried in a snowbank by one of three suspects who were being sought by police. K-9 Ivan was called to the scene shortly after the incident occurred early Saturday morning.
Allegedly the gun was buried in the snow, and a police dog trained to find firearms accidentally set it off while digging for it. Now, I will be the first to admit it is possible, in the sense that it is possible you could survive a fall from an airplane without a parachute. I suspect the story has to do with a human putting their booger hook on the bang switch after the firearm had been located and suffering a negligent discharge, as the likelihood of a dog's nail catching a trigger just right to cause the gun to fire is rather remote.

No word on whether the dog will be disciplined, sent for remedial training, or sent to the NYPD marksdog squad...

That is all.

You know how I know you're on track?

The handler didn't immediately open fire on the nearest car/building/person because he thought he was taking fire.

Dog will never make it with NYPD.

No innocent bystanders were shot.
