Philadelphia homeowner shoots, kills intruder during home invasion
A Philadelphia man shot and killed an intruder who broke into his home while he and his two young children were sleeping early Sunday, police say.63 years old. Small children in the house. Multiple assailants, one half his age (they didn't give an age on the deceased). They broke in at 1 o'clock in the morning and started assaulting the homeowner. He retreats, grabs a gun, and winds up shooting one of the intruders.
MyFoxPhilly.com reports 63-year-old Lee Heng told officers he felt he had no choice but to fire at two men who he says broke into his home through a second story bathroom window.
[pauses, waits for cheers to die down]
The really sad part is that there's even any question as to whether the homeowner will face charges (it appears unlikely). I'm sorry, but if you're in your home, and two people break in and start beating you - with small children present - I think you shouldn't have to worry about what happens if you defend yourself. That's ludicrous.
Really, the only downside is that he didn't get the both of 'em.

That is all.
