While at the NRA convention, I couldn't help but be struck by this contrast:
H-S Precision booth
Every other booth on the convention floor.
While, oh, every single square foot of the convention hall was covered by NRA attendees eagerly checking out the latest and greatest, the H-S Precision booth had a distinct lack of interest. Now, it could have something to do with the fact that everyone and their brother is trying to assemble an AR-15 pattern rifle and that's not H-S Precision's market. Or it could have something to do with their choice of spokesman some five years prior.
H-S spokesturd Lon Horiuchi was unavailable for comment.
That is all.

Thier graphic artist stinks, you really really have to squint at their logo to see ---
I doubt it was the Len thing. Most casual shooters have no idea what you're talking about. More likely the AR-15 thing or a personell thing - you have to engage the customers.
I specifically avoided them for that reason. #2 Sprog asked why, I explained it. She wouldn't even take a pic of their booth.
I know who Lon Horiuchi is, but I am ignorant about this H-S Precision thing. Care to enlighten me?

A few years ago, an H-S ad featured an endorsement by Horiuchi. People in the gunblogosphere were not pleased at all.
Proud motto: "Women and Children First!"
Another empty booth at the convention was the one that promoted wild game hunting in Colorado. I kind of felt sorry for those guys.
