Man caught stealing wheel caps outside gathering of 30 officers
HOUSTON - A suspect is in custody after being caught by a retired police officer stealing wheel caps off an SUV in a parking lot.Okay, sing the Dragnet theme with me: Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, duuuuumb...
According to officials, at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday Harris County Precinct 4 constable staff supervisors were having a monthly meeting and retirement celebration at a deli.
During the meeting, a retired police officer was getting out of his car in the deli parking lot at 4700 Cypress Creek Parkway, when he noticed a suspicious male with a screw driver kneeling down by a newer model of a black Cadillac Escalade.
Yes, this budding young Al Capone decided to start his life of crime by stealing the centercaps off the cars parked outside a police retirement dinner. He managed to somehow miss the marked police cars in the parking lot and started right in on the thievery. Oh, to have been a fly on that wall when the retired police officer approached the misunderstood young man...
I only hope he didn't resist arrest... too much.
That is all.

Heh. Wonder if the genius with the screwdriver was auditioning for another Glock commercial like the one with the diner full of cops.
