Maybe it's just me. Maybe I've been seeing the wrong trailers or something, but I just don't see movies like "Stripes" any more. I don't mean silly comedies; lord knows there are plenty of those. But movies that are unabashedly pro-American; movies that revel in simply NOT showing the US in the worst possible light. Not just individual Americans; yes, there are plenty of those out there.
You will be missed, Harold.

What little I watched of him I found amusing. I liked the first half of Stripes. Found that a very funny take down of basic training. The second half pushed me beyond my ability to suspend disbelief. No way on earth a bunch of maggot infested 'cruits go without a Drill Sergeant for as long as a day, let alone weeks. Just sayin.
