Friday Gun Pr0n #52

I couldn't decide what I wanted to post today. So I went with all my .357 Magnum wheelguns. Hey, why not?

Clockwise from the top: Ruger Security Six, 6" barrel; Smith & Wesson model 19, 4" barrel; Smith & Wesson model 360PD, 1 7/8" barrel; and Colt Lawman Mk III, 2" barrel.

Figure I need a 6" Python, an 8 shot PC627, and maybe a 2" 640 to round out the .357 Magnum offerings...

That is all.

I have a Colt Lawman Mk III and have been looking for a way to get back to the orignal hand grips As the current pachmayr ones are too bulky.

Any ideas, my internet, and gun shop seach has wiped out.

Nice .357's there, sir.

I'm still wondering on the Snubbie From Hell, Jr.(tm) in .327 Mag. We shall see...

Oh, and I'm LOVING that M19. Looks like it'd make a fine carry gun.

What's the stripper clip for? Do you have a sooper-seekrit way to load revolvers with it that no one has taught THIS n00b how to do?

New Jovian Thunderbolt: That's a speed strip, not a stripper clip...

Lookie here...

Bolt,

Funny you should ask...

I've actually put together a series of video clips using various speedloaders that I'll be posting shortly.

As freddyboomboom's link attests, the speed strip is another way of holding rounds for a revolver. An informal test of my own meager abilities shows no discernable difference in reload time between a speed strip and a conventional speedloader...

Oh, and anon?

Have you tried Numrich? That's where I found the Pachmayr grips. I think they have the factory wood. I ordered the target wood grips but I'll need to order another grip screw, as the original screw isn't long enough for the target grips...

I just came back and saw your reply. Found the webpage, I'll make an order from them when I have the chance.

Thank you

Very nice indeed. An old flat top Blackhawk in .357 Magnum couldn't hurt things either. That python is a great notion, also. I prefer the 4", though.

Great story you got here. I'd like to read more about this matter. Thnx for giving that information.
