Friday Afternoon Thought Question...

In the Garth Brooks song "Learning to Live Again", is the man in question a widower or a divorcée?

Discuss.

That is all.

I didn't realize country music was so popular in MA.

Hell, yeah! ;-)

Chris Young removed all doubt:

I still see you on your knees
Begging me not to drive
But I took away the keys
And made you climb inside
And I’d take your place in this field of stone
If I only had to power
Look what it took
For me to finally bring you flowers

And to answer your question, it's "widower". He did "divorcee" in "This Ain't Tennessee"

Lyrics ("Look into her eyes and pray that she don't see
That learning to live again is killing me") indicate widower.

Breda- some country is plenty popular in MA. Usually among those of us who support RTKBA (a decided minority).
