Ah Saturday.
I believe it's derived from the Greek word for "cram all the crap you put off during the week into a single day"... But there is a bright spot today... Among the plebian errands like going to the dentist and going grocery shopping? A trip to the eeeevil gun store to buy something of the boomstick variety.
Heh. The great Obama-fueled buying frenzy begins today in the G. household. Watch this space.
That is all.

I've added another gun to the household this week, there's a waiting list for about anything right now.
Do I need one? I probably have a dozen or more, including black long rifle type, but like chocolate, you can't have too much.
That's why I'm bringing my credit card to the gun store...
The gun I'm buying is a personal sale from a friend of mine (more later).
If there happens to be anything of the eeeevil black "make Chuck Schumer cry" variety, it may come home with me as well.
Or I might just cling bitterly to my present guns and get more ammo for them. Ammo Day is only four days away after all!
Useless trivia: actually "Saturday" is derived from the Roman god Saturnus. Medieval astrologers identified him with melancholia, hence the word "saturnine." So I suppose it's not really surprising Saturdays tend to be downers.

wolkwalker,
Thanks for the etymological lesson! I find it fascinating to watch how words evolve.
I don't find Saturdays to be downers, just jam-packed... Although having three cavities filled @ the dentist was somewhat of a downer...
weer'd,
If I'm not mistaken, my friend, we still have some unfinished business to attend to... When do we want to get together?
