WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Barack Obama on Thursday embarks on a trip to Latin America, where the leader of the world's lone superpower said he seeks to engage in talks with the region's leaders as equals.
"Times have changed," President Barack Obama told CNN en EspaƱol on Wednesday. Referring to his planned meeting in Trinidad and Tobago with Brazilian President Lula, he said, "My relationship with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is one of two leaders who both have big countries, that we are trying to solve problems and create opportunities for our people, and we should be partners.
"There's no senior partner or junior partner."
Uh, Barry? Here's an idea. Why don't you have one of your junior policy wonks dig up the GNP of these countries and get back to you (Here's a hint: Brazil vs. USA. $644 billion vs. $12.9 trillion. DONE.) There's a reason they're considered third world. There's a reason we send them billions of dollars in aid every year. They are not our equals. It's nice of you to condescend and pretend they are; I'm certain they appreciate being talking-down to...
Brazil? Taurus. USA? Smith & Wesson. 'Nuff said.
I also loved that 0bama couldn't resist flogging the dead ZOMG Guns R Getting Into Mexico horse:
"We are going to be dealing not only with drug interdiction coming north, but also working on helping to curb the flow of cash and guns going south," Obama said.
Yeah, just like Goebbels or the Brady Bunch, if you repeat the lie often enough people will start to think it's the truth. Look, it's been debunked six ways to Sunday: The guns that are showing up in Mexico are NOT getting there by legal channels. Mexican banditos are not hopping the border and buying American AR-15s at gun shows. It's complete and utter fiction.
Yes, there are American guns in the hands of Mexican outlaws. But these arms are exported to the Mexican army, perfectly legally, and then the corrupt Mexican military hands them out to drug lords like Tic-Tacs. No gun control law in the known universe will stop this, and 0bama knows it...
Ugh. How much longer until we're rid of this clown?
That is all.

Jay,
The Obama folks gave us 1/20/09 bumpber stickers . . . I suggest we start pushing 1/20/13 stickers NOW -- as a reminder of when we get rid of Him.
Diane Sawyer on GMA this morning commented to Janet Napolitano that 95% of all guns in Mexico come from the US.
Utterly shameful.
So how much forign aid are we getting from Brazil and other latin-American nations?
Ohhhhh!
Brad,
Sadly, I fear that number will be 2017...
Given how the MSM has strapped on the ol' kneepads for Barry, that is...
Anon,
It is *possible* that 95% of the guns in Mexico *DO* come from the US.
We export a not-insignificant amount of our arms to other countries, countries that don't have their own arms manufacturers or just prefer US-made weaponry.
It is entirely conceivable that the vast percentage of firearms in Mexico is of USA-heritage.
HOWEVER...
The *implication* is that the 95% are guns illegally brought into Mexico. Which is clear unmitigated horseshit...
Weer'd,
Precisely. I'd wager that the USA has a higher GNP that all of South America combined.
Including oil-rich Venezuela...
If not, we ought to stop sending them $$$ post-haste, n'est ce pas?
How long? Almost four years left, unfortunately. Unless we're REALLY unlucky, and it's eight years, instead.
Sour Grapes! You guys will implode with hate. Keep it up and we will see you guys in 2017.
