A Handy Guide...

Marko has a handy guide to political outrage. He hits on many of the things that have irked the shit out of me with politics lately - mainly, the complete and utter reversal of the two parties solely dependent on who's sitting in the corner office. I watched it happen in 2001, when George W. Bush took office; we're seeing it again now.

I've long maintained that "I hate the Republicans and the Democrats, I just hate the Republicans a little less". More and more, every day, that second part of the equation becomes less and less true.

That is all.

Funny and real.

Could have been better. It's obvious without looking at anything else on the page that the writer is a conservative... Just the wording and inclusion of certain issues trivializes or mistates certain positions in a way to cast a more favorable light on "y'all's guy". But such is life. Point well taken over all.

That's life in a two-party polarized country. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Who's going to start the campaign to amend the constitution to create proportional representation and instant runoff voting?

Kim Du Toit used to refer to the Evil Party and the Stupid Party. That's a pretty good summary, in my book.
