Schwag!
There's four boxes of .25 ACP for my Colt Junior, and six rounds of [redacted] for my new acquisition, which will be picked up on Friday, unfortunately too late for the Friday Gun Pic... The background is the shirt Bruce gave me from the Gadsden & Culpepper shop. There's plenty more gear for the freedom-lovin' patriot over there; if you do head over, go through Bruce's site so he gets credit for the sale... (Can you tell I'm in sales?).
Once again, thanks for the cool stuff guys!
A closer look at the ammo reveals something curious:
That's not MA!
Yes, that is the Tennessee Ammunition Tax Stamp (which, I am told, is now $0.10 per box). It was odd to see that on the box, given that MA - not a state known for being friendly to gun owners nor averse to taxation just for taxation's sake - has no competing tax...
Yet there it is, clear as day...
That is all.

I can see it now... the Mass Gov office (while monitoring your subversive blog) gets a "new" idea - AMMUNITION TAX! They'll even say that a gun owner came up with the idea....
Currently there is an 11% federal excise tax on ammunition, and it is included in the price of ammo.
And any local sales taxes are calculated on the price of the ammo including the federal tax, the famous tax-on-tax provision :)
Hell, if I'd known you could use it for the New Acquisition (which I now know what it likely is, but didn't catch it at the shoot), I'd have left you a whole box of those mouse-farts. Email me an address and a box will be forthcoming... or is that verboten in the Badlands?
