EDINBURGH, Scotland (AP) ― Two British broadcasters reported Thursday that Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi would likely be freed from prison on compassionate grounds, but Scotland's government denied any such decision had been made.
Officials dismissed the reports by Sky News and BBC television as speculation, and said Scotland's justice minister had yet to review all case information before deciding whether al-Megrahi should be released from a Scottish prison. The former Libyan secret service agent is terminally ill with cancer.
21 short years have passed since 270 people were murdered in the skies over Scotland. That's not even a month per death in jail. Words fail me here, people. We're talking about an act of international terrorism, and they're using terms like "compassion". In this case, compassion should mean "not letting the families of the victims beat this worthless sack of shit to death with wiffle ball bats", not "let him return to Libya because he has cancer".
As long as we continue to treat terrorism and terrorist acts as random criminal events, we will see more and more of them...

The coward scumbag bomber has dropped his request for release. Let the bastard rot, and give him not a single microgram of opiate pain killer for his cancer. Let the foul shit suffer the agony of intractible pain. Let his bones hurt so much he wails like an infant. Let the sub-human cretin suffer long and suffer slowly. Treat him as he treated his Pan Am victims. And when he does finally die, slice off the bastard's head and feed it to some hungry pigs. Hopefully the pigs will have the sense to spit out the bits and deficate all over them. We certainly don't want this steaming & stinking, fetid & festering pile of rotten dung getting his 72 virgins in the service of Allah. Other than these thoughts, I have no strong opinion on the matter.
