Okay, I Gotta Ask..

WTF is up with this "wookie" bit? I don't get it. I mean, I grok what a Wookie *is* - not only did I grow up with Star Wars, but my son has discovered the franchise as well - I just don't understand the current fascination in the gunnie vernacular.

So WTF do y'all mean by "wookie suit"? Help an old fart out, wouldja? Kthanxbai.

That is all.

It's a reference to a Ron Paul supporter out in New Hampshire. Tam has a picture that sums it up pretty well.

Ah.

The picture explains much. Thank'ee kind sir.

That is just plain wrong.

Yeah, I think Tam's pic is of Dave Ridley, of RidleyReport.com , who covers libertarian, Freestate Project type issues in NH.

Wookie-Suiter = Virulent Libertarian.

Synonyms including basement dweller, Paulistinian, etc...

Generally your "Big L" libertarian.

I figured it out. Tam posted that pic - and definition - while I was on vacation.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

heh, found a video!

That's funny shit!

And it's Ridley holding the Camera not in the suit!

No Weer'd, it's Dave in the suit. From the description of the vid you linked:

From RidleyReport.com - The Ron Paul Rebel Alliance Strikes Back! James from Keene fills in as cameraman and narrator for the Ridley Report today...

As you can see I'm otherwise occupied but my Shyriiwook language skills are improving.

Ron Paul is the presidential candidate vowing to obey the Constitution, roll back spending and shut down the IRS. As a Rep he votes no on almost everything.

The video was shot in Keene, New Hampshire Nov 2, 2007. The costume is made by a firm called Rubies.

WV=sphize - 'cause there is no "I" in spaz.

OK, I'm off to go stand on a street corner and wave a Gadsden flag right now myself, but I won't be wearing a wookie suit! Maybe I'll wear my CCDL.us shirt and REALLY freak out the libs.

Wouldn't be a bad starting base for a gillie suit.
