BOSTON (WBZ) ― Everyone knows Mickey Mouse, but they don't know him like this. A new video game, set to be released in the fall of 2010, is changing the iconic Disney character's demeanor.
This is not a drastic change for the character. Back when the mouse was introduced in the 20s, Mickey was a troublemaker. Game designer Warren Spector wanted to embrace this and create a game designed around Mickey's dark side, CNET reports.
Yeah, that's what I want my kids to emulate - an angry rodent...
That is all.

After yesterday's news, emulating an angry rodent sounds like a good idea. Sneaky, able to hide, willing to turn and bite when necessary.
Vengeance is mine -- heh-heh!
(blink blink)
I have to quote South Park here:
"Dude, that's pretty f*cked up right there."
The game's working title is "Epic Mickey". Apparently, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (pissed off at being forgotten and replaced by Mickey as the lead mascot) and some evil thing called the Phantom Blob are villains.
Basically, gameplay involves painting and erasing things, so don't freak out just yet.
...though the main guy behind said that "Disney scared the pants off of me when I was a little kid. Disney needs to scare kids!"
If you want to know more about the game, a few topics on the Sega forums I frequent have some info.
Harlan Ellison must be PO'd. He got fired from Disney (after one day on the job) for suggesting something like this.
Timing is everything.
Fuck you, Disney. You turned Mickey from troublemaker into bland milquetoast mascot decades ago. If you want to try to make him into a eighth-assed Rat Fink now, you go take it up with Big Daddy Roth, and if you need a ticket punched to start the conversation, I'll be happy to help. Go back to sucking scheckles out of parents with whatever the bullshit princess-of-the-minute is and leave the cool shit to people who understand it.
