Dare to Dream...

Poll: Democratic leader in trouble
Washington (CNN) – A new poll indicates that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, continues to trail two potential Republican rivals, less than one year before the 2010 elections.

Former Nevada Republican Party Chair Sue Lowden holds a 10-point lead over Reid, while businessman Danny Tarkanian has a six-point advantage over the Democratic senator, according to the Mason-Dixon Polling & Research survey conducted on behalf of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Now, a year is several lifetimes in the political arena. Additionally, never underestimate the power of the Stupid Party to screw things up big time. However, this is the most encouraging news I've heard all day. I hope Reid is starting to sweat, and I certainly hope him doing stupid crap like responding "Ask Tiger, not me" to serious questions about the war in Afghanistan or health care start hurting him big time.

Boy, wouldn't it be nice to see a Tom Daschle-like rout in 2010???

That is all.

Bet he will try to 'buy' the election... sigh...

In '94 the sitting speaker of the house, Tom Foley, was sent home packing. Plus, the aforementioned Daschle was ousted as SML.

I want most incumbents to lose, but Harry Reid's head would be an especially nice item to put on the mantle over the Fireplace.

It's still way early in the game.
We still have a shot to screw this one up, but we can always hold out hope to burn old Harry's ass in 2010.

I want to see a 1994-style rout in 2010 -- and every one of the new reps and senators be a real Small Government type.

I wonder how many of Red Harry's loyalists are stupid enough to believe that whoever they elect to replace him will automatically become Majority Leader? I remember how, when some Dem congressthing who was the then-Speaker of the House lost his re-election campaign -- might even have been '94 -- a story ran round that some of the people in his district thought that whoever they elected would become Speaker.

Reid has been running campaign-style commercials for months now in Nevada. I think he really is worried.
