By the time this post is up, I'll be heading into the doctor's office to have a biopsy done on the lump in my mouth. Everything the doctor has said leads me to believe it's either a cyst or something benign (his exact words were "cancer doesn't look like that"), but if you could spare a few good thoughts, I'll be more than happy to take 'em.
Kids, no matter how cool you think it makes you, don't smoke - that's your handy MArooned Tip of the Day...
That is all.

Good luck, I'm sure it will be fine. Really.
Good thoughts. As you probably know, I am about as paranoid/hypochondriac as you are, so I can only imagine the internal monologue.
Whatever they take out of your mouth, be sure to save it so we can shoot the hell out of it!
Jay,
Thoughts and prayers at ya dude.
Good thoughts and prayers to you Jay
Word verification? housemed
Would that be 100 proof variety?
Good luck and I'll be a-prayin'.
As Woody Allen once said, "The two most beautiful words in the English language are, 'It's benign.'" :)
Good luck, and our best wishes to you.
Good Luck, Jay.
Thanks everyone. The surgery appears to have been successful - I now have a big ol' hole under my tongue! - but the novacaine is starting to wear off...
On the plus side, I have little planned for today other than playing Wii games with my son... ;)
jg -- good thoughts are heading your way. doug has something similar on the inside of his lip and hasn't obeyed our doctor's orders yet. i'm gonna kick his ass when i get home and tell him to do it.
i'm glad you obey your doctor, and wish for great outcomes.
Good Luck Jay ,, I hope and pray its nothing!!
Jay,
I'm sure all will be well. I've already sent a message to HaShem asking for quick healing.

Glad to hear you came through the surgery O.K. I am sure that everything will be fine and that you will be entertaining us with your rants for many years to come. -grin-
Good luck Jay;
My prayers are with you. The big C does not belong to you. Think positive. Good luck, and God Bless.
See Ya
Best wishes.
The last time I had something removed, a "friend" remarked that the doctor removed the only non-malignant part of me. Don't think you'll have that problem.
Let us know how it goes mate. You know we have your back.
Best of luck to you jay!
Glad it went well! Now be sure to keep the area well bathed in an antiseptic so you don'tgetan infection. I usually use Jose Cuervo brand antiseptic, but your mileage may vary.
Best thoughts on the way. I look forward to seeing you Saturday!
Hope all is well!
So does the hole under your tongue gonna make you blog funny ;}
Jay,
Good thing that I can't make it Saturday, as I'm the type to swap out your water glass for a dribble version, then comment on said tongue-hole when your lap got wet...
A little levity is the worlds best medicine. :-)
I'm not an uber-religious man by any stretch, but I did ask whatever it is that made the universe to exert any influence it could over your continued health.
Your friend and brother,
Patriot
Oh no!! Update please, and good luck!!
