As far as *I* am concerned, layaways, builds, and orders all count.
But then again, I'm not the final arbiter.
That would be Saint John Moses Browning, Peace Be Upon Him. And buying something in caliber less than G-d's own pistol caliber (.45 ACP) may require some novenas or something... ;)

Open Invitation for New Shooters
Just want to extend an open invitation to all potential new shooters in the Northern Virginia area. If you have never shot a firearm, or would like to get back into the shooting sports, or are an accomplished shooter who'd like to try something in my arsenal, give me a shout.
New shooters get range time, targets, gun use and ammo on me. I've even got extra eye and ear protection - all you have to do is show up.

I wonder if they'll let me off post to find a back-alley arms bazaar in downtown Baghdad.
Of course, there wouldn't be a point. There's no chance they'd let me bring home an RPK or AK-47.
I just picked one up last week, it will have to do for BAG day.
My BAG-day build is a little behind schedule. I'll never have it back from anodizing in time but I'll get some pics before I ship it out.
I've got two in the works, but I don't know that either one will be exactly on 4/15...
ASM826,
Congrats! I also bought my BAG day gun last week.
OK...adding a Springfield Armory XD (the original, not the XDm...) 4" Service model to the collection, chambered in .40 cal.
Best I can do, due to NY State handgun laws, was put it on layaway so as to get the particulars and have it added to my CCW license.
So...does layaway count? ;-)
