Why yes, that's exactly what it is. They broke into your building, entered it illegally, and remained there after being told to leave - heck, add trespassing to the mix as well. What's mind-boggling is this:
A group of homeless people and housing activists took over a privately owned Mission District duplex on Sunday in what served as the climax of a protest designed to promote use of San Francisco's vacant buildings as shelters for the needy. But the owner of the property - who was targeted over his eviction of a tenant - said the demonstration was nothing more than breaking and entering.
More than a dozen police officers were on hand, most standing on the sidewalk on the other side of the street. Asked earlier whether they would take action if protesters occupied the property, officers declined to comment. One said, "We'll see."(Emphasis mine) Excuse me? Eight people have broken into a residence that does not belong to them and will not leave even at the orders of the property owners. Seems to me there's eight counts of Breaking and Entering as well as trespassing - does the city of San Francisco have a different view of law than the rest of the nation?By 3 p.m., all had left but one, who stayed to ensure that "nobody is out of hand," said a police official, Sgt. William Escobar. No arrests had been made.
One last thing: There's five pictures accompanying the story. In three of the five, a sign is clearly visible - it appears to say Casas Para La Raza. Now, my Spanish is quite old, but I do believe that says Houses for the Race - with "La Raza" being the hispanic supremacist group concerned mainly with gaining wider acceptance for the breaking of our nation's immigration laws. Oh yeah, and Ă˜bama has given speeches to them agitating for "immigration reform".
Just imagine, if you will, how it would have played out had it been militia members taking over an unoccupied army base - one wonders if H-S Precision could have gotten another statement out of Lon Horiuchi...
That is all.

Why yes, Jay, the city of San Francisco DOES have a different view of the law. SF is an interesting place to visit, but I sure as sh*t wouldn't want to live there. Too weird, even for me.
On an unrelated note, I saw a bumper sticker the other day which reminded me of you . . .

Nancy Pelosi was elected by San Francisco; that should tell you something.

And then there is California."

This reminds me of West Berlin in the early Eighties. We had a severe housing shortage, yet many, MANY apartment buildings were standing empty. There was a whole culture of squatters who inhabited these buildings. Some of them moved in and trashed everything, while others actually renovated and fixed up the places. Of course, they were ALL breaking the law...
I had to wait for the blood to clear my eyes before looking up the 3rd Amendment.
8 guys invading my home? I'd interpret that as an army.
You've got just the sort of thing to handle that, though...
You know, I havent prepped for that. I'd need some shackles and chains. Two guys in the basement reloading brass, 6 guys in the shop making more parts so I can go global :-)

makes you wonder what the PD would have done had the landowner been using force to defend his property.
as a side note, 8 people is why I carry more than 6 rounds

Well, that would be one way to get them out.
