My Reputation Preceeds Me...

I left a comment over at Zercool's place in response to this post (which has some excellent info in it, BTW). Well, a friend who I will not name (they are welcome to come forward if they like...) e-mailed me this following question which made me LOL:
Your chainsaw doesn't really have a bayonet, does it?? I can't imagine how such a thing would be possible . . . but when it comes to bayonets, your imagination FAR outstrips my own!!

I am the bayonet king!

That is all

Any day I inspire a Jay G post is a good day!

Clearly they misunderstood. You don't have a bayonet on your chainsaw, your bayonet IS a chainsaw.

You know what you need Jay?

The BFR with a bayonet!

Anyone who has seen Jay shoot will understand why he loves bayonets.

Really you could just replace the anti-kickback cover on the tip with a bayonet mount.

LOL- Bayonet on a chainsaw... that's about like taking a hamburger to a steak dinner!

Hey, a good bayo on a chainsaw would be nice, you could use it to hold the saw up while you worked on it... if you didn't have a truck tailgate handy.

This, of course, would mean that you weren't close to a truck. Or the gas cans... okay, on second thought, it wouldn't be that handy.

Jay, I have a question for you.

What is the best way to mount a
bayonet on a chainsaw, so that

you can later mount a chainsaw-

bayonet on the bayonet that is on

the chainsaw?
