One A Week...

On the heels of #51, we have DG #52!

It started out promising: Phoenix Hill home invasion suspect shot in head early Monday

Police are investigating a home invasion early Monday morning that resulted in an exchange of gunfire between the homeowner and a suspect.

The suspect, a black male in his late teens, was shot at least once in the head and was in serious condition at University Hospital, said Officer Carey Klain, a Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman.
At the time, it didn't make the count. But then... The story has a happy ending:

Teenage suspect in home invasion dies
A teenager who was involved in an attempted home invasion early Monday died Friday from a gunshot wound, a deputy coroner said.

Jerry Lester, 17, of the 1700 block of Dumesnil Street, died shortly before noon Friday, said Gayle Norris, a Jefferson County deputy coroner.

Lester was a suspect in an attempted home invasion early Monday in the 900 block of Marshall Street, said Alicia Smiley, a Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman.
Consider it an occupational hazard.

Dead Goblin Count: 52

That is all.
