Patients’ files left at public dump
Four Massachusetts community hospitals are investigating how thousands of patient health records, some containing Social Security numbers and sensitive medical diagnoses, ended up in a pile at a public dump.
The unshredded records included pathology reports with patients’ names, addresses, and results of breast, bone, and skin cancer tests, as well as the results of lab work following miscarriages.
Got that? Names, address, and Social Security numbers - everything needed to steal one's identity and make your life a living hell. *AND* HIPPA violations to boot! Now, I know I work for one of those EEEVILL private corporations and all, but here we shred all important documents before we have another, secure, private company come take them away for destruction. Maybe it's overkill, but there's no way any of OUR customers will have their identity stolen from our carelessness. And they think health care will improve under ØbamaCare...
I've got three words for that: Grab. Your. Ankles...

This is just a warmup to obamacare. Once the program is in full swing, those records will be replaced with corpses.
