Tacoma man turns shotgun on home invaders, kills one
This has to be one of the shortest articles I've read dealing with a DGU (and possibly among the worst offenders of grammar and sentence structure, but I digress...). There's at least two goblins mentioned, and the way it's worded, it sounds like the girlfriend handed the boyfriend the gun while he was being pistol-whipped. That's gotta be the dumbest criminal on record (and now at room temperature).TACOMA, Wash. (AP) – A suspected robber was shot and killed in a home invasion near Puyallup.
Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune deputies are looking for a second suspect who drove off.
In any case, we have multiple attackers, violence towards the residents, and a weapon. Any bets on what would have happened to the couple if they didn't have a weapon of their own? Think the goblins would have been content to just take all their stuff and leave? Or, given that they've already shown a propensity for wanton violence, maybe they would have had their way with the woman then killed them both so there were no witnesses.
I like one goblin filled with buckshot and one running for his life much better.

It later came out that the goblin that got away is the one that shot this person. I just did a write up of it because Brady is now using this as proof that home defense doesn't work because the guy missed with a shotgun.
I say the home defense worked because both innocents are still alive and only slightly injured from the pistol beating they took.
Our resident Brady "Japete" stated that maybe if he didn't pull out the gun, they would have "only" took the pistol whipping and the criminals might have gone on their way.... I'm stunned.
