Alleged robber injured by own knife
A man is in critical condition in hospital after injuring himself with his own knife when he tripped and fell after allegedly robbing a store in Ottawa's south end Monday, police said.
Police said they were notified about the robbery on Tapiola Crescent at 9:13 a.m. They got a second call about what was called a stabbing short time later.

I fully expect to see news that the criminal sued the place he was trying to rob, and won.

Reminds me of a case a few years ago. A dumbass went into a bank and threatened a teller with a pair of nunchuku. After being handed the cash, he twirled one of them around, showing off, and hit himself in the head and was knocked unconscious.
