Crankin' Along!

Commenter and good friend brad_in_ma sends me the following DGC addition, which he found over at Alphecca:

Investigators: man shot trying to rob video game store
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has been found shot to death in a Fresno neighborhood, and now police are trying to confirm if he's one of three suspects shot at by a store employee during an attempted robbery.

Investigators say three armed men entered a video game store at Clinton and Brawley with their handguns drawn around 11:20 Saturday night. An employee at the Play N' Trade store feared for his life and opened fire on the men.

At some point the goblins are going to realize that it just ain't worth it - that it's not worth dying over a hundred bucks or less - and stop trying to knock over small stores. Large chains most often have policies of just handing over the money and filing insurance claims - as well as hiring the more drone-oriented - as opposed to the smaller merchants who fight for every dollar (and hire friends, family, and others who want to see the business succeed). The smaller store is far less likely to have a corporate "no guns" policy either.

Until such time, of course, we'll keep adding to the Dead Goblin Count...

Dead Goblin Count: 105

That is all.

The kid behind the counter probably just finished shooting about 3000 people on Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

Actually, Play N Trade is a large chain.

One of the things we look for when we interview is if the prospective employee notices the Mk IV series 70 on my hip.
