Fishermen Get Festive With Lobster Trap Tree
BEALS, Maine (CBS) — In a small Maine fishing town, they’re celebrating the holiday season with a special 50-foot tall Christmas tree made of lobster traps.

They used to go every year for a family get together.

That 'tree' is cool on so many levels; creative use of available materials, looks really nifty AND it is a real reminder of the holiday spirit as those folks give thanks for what they love to do and their livelihood as they pull their life from the sea.

FYI Pissed there are LOTS of Beals in Down East Maine. No idea how the family linage(s) work for that. Best not to ask, I suppose...
