Runnin' Up The Count...

Thanks to PDB in Gunblogger Conspiracy chat for this addition:

Subway clerk shoots robbery suspects, kills one
An employee of a Subway restaurant shot two men who were trying to rob the store, killing one of them, Charlotte Mecklenburg police said tonight.

The shootings took place at 626 W. Sugar Creek Rd., in a row of businesses fronting the busy thoroughfare, just before 7 p.m. The clerk was not hurt but was being questioned, police said.

Two men entered the Subway armed with handguns. They were in the process of robbing the store when the clerk decided he'd rather not gamble his life on their good graces and proceeded to ventilate them both, killing one. He realized that he was much better off taking his chances with the legal system than with the two fine upstanding young gentlemen currently threatening his life for the $56 in the register. Smart clerk. He'll go far in life.

At least one goblin, however, will not.

Dead Goblin Count: 122

That is all.

Too many companies will fire a guy for carrying at work- I'm not surprised that Subway wouldn't be one of them. Subway franchises are shopped at medical professionals- there's a surprising percentage of Subways owned by MD's, and I'm guessing that as a group, the doc's are a conservative bunch. Anyhow, this is a warming story for a cold day.
