Teen dead after mid-February shooting
Later in the story it is revealed that the pore yoot was shot when he attempted a home invasion. Details are few and far between, but from the sounds of things this looks like it qualifies as a DGC. Despite the best efforts at painting him as some innocent child, it sounds like he got in over his head. And paid the ultimate price for it.TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A sixteen year-old Tucson boy has died in an area hospital after being shot on February 14th.
Sgt Matt Ronstadt with the Tucson Police Department told KGUN9 that the teen was shot on February 14th after 7:50 p.m. in the area of Mission and Calle Guadalajara. Officers responded and found 16 year-old Jacob Wilkens near the intersection and initially were told he was shot by a passing vehicle.
On a side note, are you kidding me? The news station that reported this is KGUN??!?!

KGUN is a real Tucson station. They also reported the recent, more publicized Tucson shooting.

I live in Tucson, and yes, KGUN9 is a real, local station. It's not suprizing that the details are few and far between though. Tucson is a liberal bastion in an otherwise red state. I'm suprized that we got the details we did.
The part I don't like is that they KNOW he botched a home invasion but are looking for a SUSPECT.
